How do you change the screen resolution on windows vista?

My familly just recently purchased a laptop (dell) and the screen was fine. Then a couple days ago we turned it on the main screen and the screen is really wide and bold. We liked it how it used to be. How do we change the screen resolution? A Step-by-step process would be awesome. ThanksHow do you change the screen resolution on windows vista?
