My computer is changing its screen resolution on its own?

Hey guys,

I have a HP notebook, brand new.

My screen resolution has been changeing on its own... (everythings gets bigger)

i'm trying to stop this from happening, but i can't seem to find any settings to change.



i have a feeling its one of two things, either:

hibernation mode

or

the sims 2 (this games resolution changes to something simular to what my computer looks like)



any thoughts on how i can stop this happening??

i know EXaCTLY what you are experiancing just restart the computer or log off log on or in the game go to options and set the game to the right resolution of your comp
